What is Common between Pasta Sauce and Pizza Sauce?

Many of the pizza places in Pakistan also sell pasta; it is a plus point for any of the restaurants as they make sure they can mix and match ingredients and generate revenue as much as they can. The ingredients of the pizza and the pasta are more alike, such as cheese, pizza sauce and toppings. Here is a guide that will give you a detailed overview of the pizza and pasta sauce.  

What is a Pasta Sauce OR a Pizza Sauce? 

You might have eaten pizza from the best pizza shop in Pakistan and one of the best red sauce pasta as well, but the common thing in both is the pizza sauce. The pizza sauce is red, and so is the pasta sauce. Here is a great recipe that will tell you how you make use of the red sauce and what can be used for pizza or pasta. 

What kind of sauce is Red Sauce? 

There are many types of pasta, such as; alfredo, plain pasta, and red sauce pasta as well. There are numerous kinds of pasta, and all of them require different sort of sauces. However, there is a common pasta sauce that is used in all types of pasta except Alfredo, and that is the “red sauce.” Whether it is a cheesy pizza or pepperoni, there is always a sauce added to the base of the pizza. Surely, it is the red sauce that is added to the dough. There are many readymade red sauces in the market, but you can make it at home and use it for both pizzas as well as pasta. If you want to have the No 1 pizza in Pakistan or the world-famous pasta, then here is a recipe that can be used for both. As there is not much difference in the red sauce pasta, both are alike. 

Ingredients

· Canned Tomatoes

· Tomato paste 

· Sun-Dried Tomatoes 

· Oregano – 2 tbsp

· Fresh Basil – 7 to 8 leaves (finely chopped) 

· Vinegar – 1 tbsp

· Garlic – 2 cloves 

· Olive Oil – 3 tbsp

Recipe

Step 01:

The very first step of the recipe is that heat a pan and add the olive oil to it. Once done, add the minced or crushed garlic to the heated oil. When the garlic is golden, then add oregano to it, and sauté it for just a few seconds till you smell the aroma.

NOTE:

Make sure that the garlic is not burned while you sauté the oregano. Otherwise, it will not give a good taste to the sauce. 

Step 02:

Add the canned tomatoes to the pan. Mix it for a minute, and then let it simmer. Also, cover the pot and leave it on a low flame for the water to shrink. Before you cover the pot, let the sun-dried tomatoes in it. Now let the water shrink and the tomatoes be soft. 

NOTE:

If you have tried one of the most popular pizzas in Pakistan, then you might know that some of the Pizza houses make use of finely blended sauce, and some use a little chunky sauce. So, blend the tomatoes if you want to have a smooth sauce; otherwise, keep heating the sauce until it is thick. Surely this will make the sauce a little chunky. 

Hence there is no difference between a pizza and a pasta sauce. So, if you try this recipe at home, then for sure can save and store it not just but can also use it in a pizza as well as pasta. As this is a budget friendly sauce that saves the day.
